John Biggs originates from North East Lincolnshire. His Musical training began on Euphonium, and he played in his local Brass Band at championship level up until the age of 18. At 18 he developed an interest in other styles of music and transferred to Tenor Saxophone captivated by the sound, and versatility of this instrument. He took lessons in London whilst studying for a psychology degree. Initially always interested in composition, this was developed further when he started to play in bands professionally, which often involved compiling and scoring songs to be played for gigs. Generally his music is romantic and melodic in style, which strives to maintain musical interest for the musician and listener.
John is currently a civil servant, but plays with his local 12 piece Soul Band the Rumble Band who celebrate their 30th Anniversary this year. Music and composition remain his main pursuit and passion.
